How Do The Times Table Stories Work?
There are 10 characters in each story which represent the numbers 1 to 10.
Long Lucy, Blue Bunny, Grinning Granny, Marvellous Mummy, Delightful Duck, Big Bug, Angle Man, Grumpy Grandad, Happy Holly and Gorgeous Georgie are all number friends and live in Times Table Town.
Within each story the main character interacts with the others in turn creating a story which reveals the answer to the multiplication.
The stories are beautifully illustrated in colour which makes it easy to remember the story and hence the multiplication that is associated with it.
Within the text and illustration there are also teaching aids which help to explain how the multiplication of the two numbers results in the answer.
The books have been designed for children aged from 4 – 12 years old. The older children will be able to read the stories for themselves, whilst the younger children will enjoy the stories being read to them.
The stories are written with humour, which makes them fun to read for adults, as well as the children.
